Inside BMC

Bullard First United Methodist Church offers ministry opportunities that allow both families and individuals to further their relationship with Jesus Christ by giving to others. There are numerous possibilities to serve the church itself – participating on a committee, teaching Sunday School, helping with children’s programs, visiting the sick or homebound or taking care of a special need.

Each of us has a talent that we can use to glorify God by serving and caring for others! We will help you find a place where you can use your skills in ministry for God! The four areas of ministry we serve are below.

The Ministry of Inviting:  Inviting others to church, into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, into the abundant life in Christ, and into the life and ministry of the church.

“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but the sinners.”  Mark 2:17

“Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance…Just so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents…But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life/ he was lost and has been found.”  Luke 15:7, 10, 32

“For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost.”  Luke 19:10

The Ministry of Connecting:  Connecting people to others and to God.

“Truly, I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”  Matthew 25:40

“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”  Galatians 6:2

The Ministry of Growing:  Growing people into Christian maturity as disciples of Jesus Christ through the faithful study of God’s Holy Word.

“But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ…”  Ephesians 4:15

The Ministry of Sending:  Sending people out as servants in mission and ministry in Jesus’ name.

“As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”  John 20:21

“Go!  I am sending you out…”  Luke 10:3

“Then the King will say to those on his right, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.  For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”  Matthew 25:34-36
